Disconnecting QuickBooks Online

PixelCrest Finance connects to your QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's secure authorization system. This page explains what happens if you disconnect that link, how to do it, and how to reconnect if you change your mind.

What Disconnecting Does

When you authorize PixelCrest Finance, Intuit grants our platform permission to read your QuickBooks Online data. We never see or store your QuickBooks password. Disconnecting revokes that permission, and our platform immediately loses access to your QuickBooks company.

  • Our daily monitoring of your books stops, including the checks that keep your monthly close on schedule.
  • Reports that draw on your QuickBooks data can no longer be prepared or delivered.
  • Your accounting data stays exactly where it has always been: in your own QuickBooks Online account. Disconnecting does not move, change, or delete anything in QuickBooks.

Disconnecting Is Not the Same as Cancelling

The QuickBooks connection and your service plan are separate. If you disconnect but keep your plan, we can no longer deliver the monitoring and reporting included in it. If your goal is to pause or end services, contact us first at admin@pixelcrestfinance.com and we will walk you through the right steps so nothing falls through the cracks.

How to Disconnect

  • Email admin@pixelcrestfinance.com and we will revoke the connection from our side, confirm in writing once it is done, and flag anything that needs your attention first. This is the route we recommend for active clients.
  • Or do it yourself: sign in at myapps.intuit.com, or open QuickBooks Online and go to Apps, then My Apps. Find PixelCrest Finance and choose Disconnect.

Information We Already Hold

Records created while delivering services, such as reports we prepared and our own working files, are retained and deleted according to the schedule described in our Privacy Policy. Disconnecting QuickBooks does not erase those records on its own. To request deletion, contact admin@pixelcrestfinance.com and we will handle it under the Privacy Policy.

Reconnecting

If you disconnected by accident or want to resume services, email admin@pixelcrestfinance.com. We will send you a secure link to re-authorize the connection through Intuit, which takes about two minutes. Monitoring and reporting resume going forward, and we review anything that happened during the gap as part of your next close.
